Location: Toledo, Ohio

Overview

The Areas of Concern (AOC) Cross-Agency Partnership Summit will be held Tuesday, September 16 through Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Glass City Convention Center in Toledo, Ohio. This multi-day meeting, focused on AOC program planning, aims to bring together federal, state, and local stakeholders to enhance partnerships and advance the cleanup and revitalization of Great Lakes Areas of Concern. By encouraging collaboration among AOC partners, the meeting promotes EPA’s pillars: Pillar 1: Ensuring Clean Air, Land, and Water for Every American, and Pillar 3: Advancing Permitting Reform, Cooperative Federalism, and Cross-Agency Partnerships.

The Ohio Lake Erie Commission is proud to host the 2025 AOC Cross-Agency Partnership Summit, in partnership with U.S. EPA, in the Maumee AOC. This three-day meeting will provide AOC partners with the opportunity to connect with each other, participate in engaging AOC program planning discussions, networking meetings, field trips, and contribute towards the long-term success of the AOC program. Federal, state, and local partners will come together to highlight the progress being made and the continued work needed to delist Areas of Concern across the Great Lakes region.
